About Rick Rick Lazio: Issues Lazio & Madoff

On his "official, authorized website," Rick talks about three major principles.
1. Get our Financial House in Order
Did he do this when he was in Congress?
He does not have a real plan. It's just talk.
2. Get Back Into Business of Job Creation
His campaign website says nothing but platitudes.
The real answer to job creation is getting government out of the way.
Maybe if the government hadn't bailed out Lazio's bank,
taxpayers would have had more money to create their own jobs.
3. Return Integrity to the Government
Right. We need to go back to the good old days when government wasn't corrupt.
Turns out that's a long way back.
He wants to enact term limits?
Don't remember him pushing that when he was in Congress.
For more on Rick's voting record in Congress, see his profile in OnTheIssues.org.
Most interesting, for a purportedly conservative Republican, are his votes against gun rights.
He voted for the Brady law and for a measure to restrict gun shows.
He got a D-minus from the NRA and supported the so-called assault weapons ban.
There's a better choice - a Republican who supports gun rights and will stop wasting money.
